Rare and exquisite 1930s Art Deco frosted glass Madonna and Child sculpture designed by Dutch master Stef Uiterwaal for the prestigious Leerdam Glassworks of the Netherlands. This stunning modernist figurine depicts the Virgin Mary in a serene, elongated Art Deco form cradling the Christ child, rendered in beautifully smooth satin-finish frosted crystal glass with exceptional sculptural detail. Marked with the Leerdam USL mark on the base. Measures 9.5" tall and is in very good vintage condition consistent with age.
